Missouri-Georgia odds: Defense carries day, but will Dawgs cover?

The Missouri Tigers (5-3, 2-2 SEC) and Georgia Bulldogs (7-1, 4-1) square off between the hedges at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., on Saturday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

We analyze the Missouri-Georgia odds and betting lines while providing college football betting tips and advice on this matchup.

Missouri at Georgia: Three things you need to know

1. Georgia debuted at No. 6 in the College Football Playoffs so the Bulldogs are very much alive for a spot in the top four if they can avoid any additional hiccups.

2. Missouri QB Kelly Bryant (hamstring) left during the loss at Kentucky and did not play last week at Vanderbilt. He is questionable for Saturday’s game, and his presence would be the Tigers’ only hope.

3. The Tigers are 10-2 SU under head coach Barry Odom in the month of November.

Georgia 34, Missouri 13

Moneyline (ML)

Missouri (+590) could help you multiply your original wager by six times with an upset win. It’s not going to happen, though. Georgia (-1000) bounced back nicely against Florida in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party last week, and the Bulldogs will keep it rolling with QB Jake Fromm and RB D’Andre Swift.

New to sports betting? A $10 wager on Missouri to win would return a profit of $59.

Against the Spread (ATS)

GEORGIA (-17.5, -106) is a good play at home. Everyone talks Fromm and Swift, but the Bulldogs defense is also championship caliber. Against Missouri (+17.5, -115), Georgia will have a field day, especially if Bryant cannot play.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total (47.5) should be avoided, as this game will be very, very close. UGA has the dogs on offense to take care of the total themselves, but Georgia’s defense is nasty and it’s unlikely Mizzou helps out much. It’s best to just AVOID THE TOTAL altogether in this one.
